Explore l'histoire des familles suivantes: Tremblay, Gagnon, Leblanc, Duhamel, et Leclerc.
Investigation into the North American beginnings of certain French Canadian surnames, illustrating the popular study of genealogy and, in this case, providing an example of the familial depth and breadth of "the French fact in North America" (117). Considers histories of the following families from the location of their departure from France, as well as from the times of their first male arrivals in Canada: Tremblay, Gagnon, Leblanc, Duhamel, and Leclerc.
