Describes an inventory of materials on New England French popular tradition - folklore, folk song, legend - being collected and cataloged at the Archives de Folklore, l'Université Laval, in Québec City. Certain examples of New England French Canadian and Franco American folklore, its themes and content; its researchers; and some accessible sources. Concludes with a chart comparing the different types of folklore found in each New England state, New England generally, Mississippi, Michigan, and Louisiana, as well as Ontario, Québec, and Acadia.
