Study of Maine- and Québec-rooted loggers in Maine's northern woods on the Québec border. Presentation of survey results depicting the attitudes of Maine and Québec loggers toward their occupation, their understanding of public perceptions toward logging, and their predictions for the future of the industry. Survey results report information on loggers' economic conditions, educational attainment, and other demographic categories. Analyses of survey findings, with the perspectives of Anglophone and Francophone workers, presented by authors from the University of Maine and l'Université Laval.
